Longs Peak as it looked one morning as I was making coffee. The outer loop of the Moraine campground has many wonderful spots. Just a classic mountain portait with a little gaussian blur overlay to emphasize the clouds and dappled light.

cheers,

good timing with the sunlight :)

i only have issue with the pine trees at the bottom - too dark on my monitor :( my eyes keep sinking into that dark hole... - i did try to brighten up the whole image in photoshop by using curves and that took care of the problem - the image looks much better, bringing the pines out of the shadow while keeping that 'early morning' feeling ! try it :)
otherwise ignore me :p

of course i wouldn't expect anything different from you - delightfully subtle and a bit of mystery to boot. nature just being nature depicted with great respect.

coffee making just doesn't get any better than this.

My photographs aim at being true, not at being beautiful because, what is true is most often beautiful.

Well, the only way it could have been better is with some bacon. Sadly, camping with bacon is tough at best...

I like the mood you've created here and still having detail in the shadow areas.
