near tupper lake, nc adirondacks

this summer in the adirondacks, especially the last couple of weeks, has been a time of weirdly unsettled, but oddly photographically amusing, weather. the rule around here has always been, if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes, but lately the waiting period has been reduced to about 30 seconds.

in any event, my attention has been recently directed towards "up" instead of "down" . i know that this is "shocking" to some, but, try to bear with me for a while.

ps jim j - i am a space alien.

Dear Space Alien,

What did you do with Mark?

Anyway, I heard that space people have a good sense of light and composition. This image illustrates that.

I agree! Where's Mark!!
You can't help but to get that feel of really wanting to be there.
Love the comp, and the light!

This is very nice I like the light colored grass in the foreground. I think it really give the photo good depth?

At any rate I really like it.

Beautiful depth in this photo. I love the combination of the grey clouds with the landscape and warm reed framing in the foreground. Very nicely composed.

I prefer this with the blue sky cropped from the top. The contrast between the bright FG veg and the dark clouds is very eye catching.
