It's a 12.5 mile round trip with a lot of elevation gain to get here. (You can backpack and stay overnight), but it's one of the most incredible views in Glacier.

I wish I would have gone to Cracker. Did visit Iceberg and Grinnell though.

I love the blue water.

Skip, this is great. Even though the light isn't warm and is a bit flat, this shot ROCKS and shows that it is worthwhile shooting during midday. That sky is great and the clouds are a nice touch. I like the different shades of blue in the sky and water.

Like Ken, this is one that I wanted to do but didn't get to. Ken & I did have a great hike up to Iceberg Lake though.

The color of the water is a little distracting to me. Overall I think this is a very nice shot.

Ask Ken and John. They'll tell you the water in the glacier fed lakes in Glacier National Park is really this color! It's caused by the finely ground rock (called glacier flour) caused by the glaciers grinding rock against rock and it's an amazing thing to see.
