Sure the insulation isn't very good, and the rooms are drafty...but oh what a view! :-)

1Ds & 16-35 f2.8 L lens. Channel mixer used to convert to b&w.

The beautiful texture of the building really comes alive in the larger version and the setting is spectacular with the mountains in the distance and the dramatic sky seeming to point down at the building. I like the way you use your wide angle (not just here but in some of your other work you've posted here). Nice B&W treatment too. My only nit is that I wish the bright spots in the sky weren't qutie so large.

I agree completely! I've reposted the version I originally meant to post...I have so many versions of this shot...the sky looks better now...thanks for noticing! :-)

Taken @ the Grand Tetons.

Mahesh,

Another great image from you! I like your BW conversions a lot. Do you use the same channel mixer setting across the image?

Very nice B&W conversion and it is dramatic. I like it a lot.
Something for me to learn. How about you doing an article on digital B&W conversion?

Well done! Nice image to start with, I did not see the first post but in this one it looks like an original B&W capture it's so nice. I too await a conversion lesson. :)

Thanks, gang! I open up several copies of the color image and do a little something different to each the the images in the channel mixer mode. I really have no set methods or setting...I just go with what feels good :-) Sometimes, I combine several of the versions. For example, I might like the sky from one and the building from another.

Another beauty. It really does look like a pure b/w instead of a conversion. Nice job.
