Mahesh,

I like this VERY much! I'm not sure what the object to the right is (a rock?) but this is a very fine photo! Bold composition. Great sky!

Thanks a bunch, Anders. Yes, it is a rock...had very interesting texture (the web post really doesn't do justice to the level of detail visible)...thought it would make a great b&w, especially with that charasmatic sky to serve as foil. Some images just screem to be taken in b&w...I felt that this was one such image.

The looming rock is cool. The rocks in the BG on the left help balance the monolith on the right.

The sky is great too. Converted with channel mixer?

I think the large rock is really cool with a lot of detail and texture. I am undecided about where the image stops at the bottom of the frame.

While I don't find the subject all that interesting I think the composition and B&W works great for this scene. The FG rocks are a little dominant, but eventually lead you into the frame.

I really like the texture in the foreground rock and the prominance you've given it. The sky is also great, as you noted. I just wish the pile of rocks on the lower left were more interesting in some way - I feel they let the rest of the image down a bit.

cheers,
Eric

I really like this a lot. I'm so impressed you looked and saw it in B&W, that NEVER occurs to me but it's perfect here!
