One of my favorite hawk shots from corkscrew. Taken last year on slide film. Scanned and processed in the parrothead sink.

Lucis art homer and wyath; watercolor; mr. contrast (flaming pear) and textures; mystical lighting and edges

Did you consider modifying the bg to put brighter green areas behind darker areas of the hawk, and vice versa for better color contrast of bird to bg?

Love RS hawks -- they're my favorite neighbors. On a good day, one greets me (well, more like scolds!) from the top of an oak in my front yard. Hopefully next year there will be a nest nearby, and if I'm really lucky, the fledglings will be in reach of a 400 f/5.6. Two years ago heavy foliage completely obscured the nest after the leaves popped out. :(

I needed my Parrot fix since I've been crook mate :wink: Your shots and work are just terrific Mike as always. The effects are top notch and its turned in art Mike. You have a special gift with using the effects and filters on these shots of your's, excellent work :) :)
