A very basic experiment starting with a flower center and playing with various filters, blends, opacity, etc, sharpening kept to a minimum for personal preference. From a D70 macro shot. Constructive criticism welcome.

It looks like the sun radiating down. Very creatrive use of the filters and great vision in seeing this image. :) :) :)

Beautiful blend Monique !!! 8) 8) I like the color transition very much and design 8) You might want to try colors with shine/wet looking ? Might make it pop even more !!! 8) I do like it a lot !!!! 8)

Beautifull effects Monique, they really look good.
The only thing I would change is take a bit more off the left side, but it may not work, would need to see it done to be sure.

Lovely as presented and good chooise of colors 8) :D

Yes, the sun or maybe the details of a planet as we come down to land. A very 3D effect with the shadows adding to the lines. :D , really standing off well Monique.
