The Swan

The Swan who has always been known in myth and legend as the most noble bird, is reputed to sing the sweetest song as his own death approaches.

Cicero said:

"Death darkens his eyes, and unplumes his wings.
Yet the sweetest song, is the last he sings"

Great wings and composition here Carol. It's a personal thing, but I just wonder if the transition from 'photo' to 'liquid' is a bit sudden and would be tempted to try layer-masking something like a watercolour effect on the swan head and then bringing that through over the liquid effect.

Not sure if that makes sense, anyway I tried!

I appreciate your comments Colin and under normal circumstances I might well have done just that - but this time I was totally at one with the image and didn't hesitate from start to finish! It was a very powerful transition! and one I am totally comfortable with. Sometimes it comes from within! 8)

  Touches of magic Carol. Love the effect to the wings and the textures untouched on the swans neck, really appeal. Amazing those natural textures and the lighting is gorgeous !!!. This is some creation Carol. :) :)

All the best over there and stunning shot and work :D

Love the way that this flows, or maybe you could even say explodes out and away from the center, and that beautiful detailed face!
Cool creation Carol! 8)
