Last year I posted quite a few of my images of the UK Lakes, which went down well. Since the inception of this forum I thought it would be nice to subtly 'artify' some of these images.

Here's the first post:
Image
Taken near Wasdale Head, Cumbria, UK, Autumn 2005.
Converted to artwork by some software I'm currently writing...

I loved your original images Andy, but find this treatment just a touch too soft for my tastes - I keep peering for detail! 8) :D

I appreciate this isn't to everyone's taste, also a lot gets lost compressing down to 650 pixels wide.

At a larger resoultion it has a definite 'painting' appearance, which is what I'm trying to achieve. There's a lot of flexibility regarding what can be done - more to follow. :D

I think you will find its everyones cup of tea Andy. very nicely done. We do lose a bit as we resize but it still shows in this. The lighting and colours are beautiful to see. So you will have to tell us more about this software Andy

All the best in the UK and keep them coming :)

Danny.
Thanks Danny. As with all software, it's about 90% done. Trouble is, the last 10% always takes as long as the previous 90% It'll be on my website once I'm happy it's ready.
