The Woodstork of Peace welcomes the Discovery to Outer Space and wishes them a successful mission!!!!!!! :D
Image
Two images were used here, with lower opacity on the moon, Hue/Saturation and lots of Lighting effects on PS, with texture on blue channel and rest of the picture masked so only moon got the relief.

Comments appreciated :!:

Well said Lisa :D  . The silver acts a #D type focus my eyes Fab. The curvature of the grad matches the wings of the bird. Thats a nice touch and crates great curves. The colours and comp are excellent !!!. Woodstock !!!, now theres an idea or two.......or three :D

All the best Fabs, another great dreamscape IMHO. :D

This is superb Fab. Very artistic composition. Here's hoping it will bring them all luck and a safe return.

very original. Besides being a parrothead, I am a huge fan of the space program, especially the mercury, gemini and apollo era. If you ever get a chance, check out the NASA site. The original astronaut teams for those missions, especially the lunar missions would always nickname the command module and lunar modules and each team would also have a patch they'd wear for the mission which usually depicted eagles and what not...

now my point....if you crop this into a circular emblem it would make an interesting patch
