Just a word of caution for the fellow professional photographers. I have made a few sales through Caters News Agency in the UK (http://www.catersnews.com/). It was several months ago and I haven't received a penny yet. When they do reply to my e-mails, which is rare, they keep coming with different excuses.

Avoid them!

Sorry to hear that, Octavio. They paid me promptly for image usage last year...strange.

I have been very pleased with Caters. Three projects so far. They pay photographer after they receive the monies but it doesn't always come quickly.

I know this thread is several month old, but I am curious if the OP had any luck getting paid and how long it took.

I ask because I am having much the same problem as the OP... excuses, excuses.

Keeping this thread alive as it's of relevance to photographers. Have been trying to get payment from Caters since early December last year. Their Accounts Dept simply don't read or answer emails and when they do, keep asking for the same banking info. Latest one received today, after promise of payment two weeks ago, says:
"I am sorry but we are currently having problems with our banking. Once this is sorted I will add you to the next payment run. I apologise in advance for the inconvenience caused and hope we can resolve this."

As Brad points out, excuse after excuse. I will never deal with Caters again and have insisted they remove all my images from their website and that of their "partner" agencies.

Another point about Caters worth noting for any photographers not based in the UK is that they don't or won't use PayPal. As a result, when/if they do eventually pay, the photographer incurs significant bank charges.

Do not use Caters News Agency. They owe me hundreds of dollars. I have had one payment in the last year. I have also had the run around like the people above.

Did anyone bother to contact a lawyer?
I have a similar problem - besides getting money only after many, many inquiries, I am pretty sure they hide some sales..
Can anyone recommend a lawyer for this kind of problem?
(It is only partly because of the money - mostly I don't like them to 'win' this shabby game..)
