Inspired by many of your posts from the crane pools last year, I went to Bosque hoping for a chance of having some good light at sunset to shoot the Cranes floating in to roost. Taken on 12-3-03, cropped about 10%. I just wish they had more separation and that the bird on the right was sharper.

Powerful reds -- I like the coupling of the cranes.

Mike,

I like the interesting pattern and color of the clouds. Some separation would be nice, but I think the composition would be a little stronger if the cranes were not so centrally located in the frame (even without separation).

That looks like it was a serious sunset that night.

Even with the merging of the birds this still has a serene feel to it. I love these SS shots.

Very nice!!!

Great sky and silhouettes! Like you I would prefer a bit of separation of the birds. Very nice as is.

Mike,

Very nice shot. The colors look great. More separation might be better, but the key is the separation between the lower wing of the top bird and the neck of the lower bird and you captured that well.

Beautiful sky, A little more separation would have been desirable.

Great colors. In a perfect world there would be slight separation of the two birds.
