This is one of my favorite Sandhill Crane images. It was taken in late May of this year. The chick is only a few hours old. I have posted similar photos in the past, but this image has never been posted online before.

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Sweet. Definitely one of the finest SACR chick shots I've seen, though my Velvia eye for the digital guy thinks a tad less saturation in this low-contrast light might be even better.
