Northern Shoveler Hen - Late Afternoon

I thought I would show the distaff side of the shoveler crowd here on my creek now. This shoveler girl is the prettiest of the five hens here today. The shovelers are active until after dark but I quit when I can no longer get sharp shots. This was taken about as late as I was able to get a sharp image.

Woody,
Nice shot. I am glad to see stuff from another Nikon shooter. "Smiley Mallards" are quite numerous here in AR this time of year, but the drakes have not gotten all of their fall plumage. I like the image you've shared very much and it sure works for me. Thanks for sharing. :)
