The subject is great and you certainly captured it well. The OOF stone is a little too OOF and stops being a supporting compostional element and starts becoming a distraction because of it. But whats really not working here is that the whole thing is way out of balance. Everything is on the left. A vertical crop would help this but then the birds posture is very stiff and static. Thats where those head turns looking back over the opposite direction do so well. I do absolutely love the sweet pastel tones throughout this picture.

A perfect and pleasing bg but I find the angle a bit steep, Glenn!
Would loose some of that oof rock at bottom ...

Glenn,

This is a very nice shot. I would love an opportunity to photograph these guys. I agree with cropping a little from the bottom to minimize the out of focus rock and maybe even adding a little to the top if you have it. The background is gorgeous.

Nice shot Glenn. Love the pastel BG. I think the bird could use a bit more USM. Too bad about the oof foreground rock..

The light and colors of both bir and BG are to die for!   I don't mind the angle - it looks great to me. I agree about loosing some of the bottom and would add some to the top. It needs a bit more USM.
