When things are slow locally we usually go by the zoo The ducks are most entertaining !!! Difficult to isolate and get them in good light but its fun Don't know the name of this beauty but its my second favorite quacker !!! Which I had a tad of separation at the end of the bill but this was the best from the burst !!!

Can certainly see why it's a favorite Al... no help from me on the ID (E.J. will know). I know you would have preferred a lower angle... and I'm sure it isn't possible at the zoo. Nicely animated pose, well captured... congrats. :)

Sweet image there Al! It's a White-cheeked (Bahama) Pintail. Cool wingflap.

Alfred, That beautiful! I can live with the bill. Great colors, the water brings you right into your Quacker. Very sharp. Well Done.

As you mentioned, would be better with some separation of bill and wing but still a cool photo Al! I really love the position of the wings and the green color in it!

This is a White-cheeked Pintail (formerly Bahama Pintail) and an excellent shot.
