Canon EOS300, Canon 75-300 + extension tubes + flash Canon Speedlite 550EX; Fuji Sensia 100. Because I am also bird-ringer, I photographed this sparrow Tree Sparrow) in my hand (myself) after ringing.

Wow, nice one. Looks a tiny bit grainy in the eye?
Maybe next time you could get a little closer, I still see some of the BG around its head. j/k

I am not sure about grainy in the eye - on my laptop monitor I don't see it but maybe you are right. The reason of this can be in the scanning proces (it was photographed on the slide film) or probably by decreasing of size and sharpening.
Yes, at the next time I will go closer to photo eye only

Now that is a close up!

Great shot, Ivan! Can't believe this guy was sitting there in your hand!

Thanks for sharing.

Agree with KK's suggestions. A cute shot though Ivan! I'm guessing a bird ringer is someone who bands birds?

Thank you for all commnets.
Regarding bird ringer - Kim S. is right, I mark birds with rings (bands). Sorry for my English.
