- Repost deleted, way too confusing  .

Taken at (after?) last light at Cape May. The slope is natural from the beach. When corrected the stance of the sanderling is really funky.

Chris... personally, I like the more saturated version better. I don't mind the slope (that's the it was!) and i like very much the difuse reflection in the wet sand.

I vote for the first. I like the slightly darker and richer colours. BG shades are really nice!

LOL, you guys crack me up. I'm sorry my intent wasnt to be tricky about this, but both images are the same regarding color etc, only the crop is different. The first one the bird is a bit smaller and placed more to the left. I should put a little notice so more people don't let their mind play tricks on them :D

Lol Chris, I was scrolling back and forth over the images having only read the first two posts. I was thinking to myself that the saturation and darkness looked the same. Something did look different but I was trying to put my finger on it :)

Oh yea, the crop, I knew that!
What you have just shown me is that this LCD is not of consistent brightness. I could have sworn the top was darker but sticking bits from one onto the other in PS shows they are the same. The first is sharpened more though, have a look at the dust/dirt spot in the centre. Now, if I scoll quickly up and down and focus on just one of them I see the brightness changes. Anyway, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

I would now like to retract my vote for the colour of the first and give one vote back to the first for the crop

LOL :D I wouldn't change monitors just because of this  Honestly, the brain does weird things. I can look at them and see differences in saturation on my CRT, and I'm the one who post-processed them!

The colors in this are so awesome! I really love that pink and blue. Great angle and pose too. My only nit is that little blob behind him by the left edge. Another great image Chris!

Chris,

Very nice shot. The low angle really makes this intimate. I like the pose and the colors in the background. Well done.

Wow, beautiful shot, Chris. Great angle and pose. Love the light.

May I ask where in Cape May you shot this? I've been to Cape May twice but both times I didn't do much research ahead of time so hopefully the third time will be a charm.

Thanks for sharing!

Cape May NWR. Go to the state park and pick up a brochure, should be easy to find with that.
