Nice colour and habitat, Michael. I like your choice of cropping from the bottom and would suggest more off the left to decenter the bird. In fact this pose with the had turned to the right lends itself to having the bird on the left side of the composition. Good detail too.

I'd definitly crop the left past the first bush and a little off the top. Great shot with a perfect head turn.Also the sprig jutting in from the right top corner doesn't help the composition. Kim and I tried to track one of these guys down in a field of soybeans one time and do you think we could even get close? --no way --he was always two or three moves ahead of us!
