Finally had my first good shooting session for this season. Although I haven't really got any great shots, it has been immensely satisfying just to witness all the actions and pushing the camera shutters. Anyway, here is one of the images I got last Friday.

Note: thanks for the crop suggestion and kk's reminder of posting size rule. I have updated the image accordingly.

You've got some amazing depth of field here. Very nice shot despite the muddy background color.

Very nice shot indeed! :) Maybe a bit too much empty space on the left.

This is fabulous, Angus!
Love that down stroke and the sharpness ...

* Please keep the long side of the image to 650 pixels unless it's a pano presentation which can be up to 800x400 pixels. *

Stunning capture of a Greenshank. I dislike the commonly muddy/grey backgrounds that seem to be commonplace in Hong Kong, but I love the bird :)

Is this a repost incorporating Ofer's crop suggestion ?

Great flight image, the pose is fantastic as are sharpness & detail. It's a shame that you don't seem to get blue skies to often in Hong Kong, but then maybe that contributes to the detail you are able to capture.

The soft light, muted colors, and subtleties of background often present in images from Hong Kong are a wonderful part of the vast spectrum of photographic art represented here. Beautiful greenshank, Angus!

Excellent image, like the low wing position to show off the feather detail.
