Hi all,

A common bird in Beidaihe during Spring and Fall migration, but I have never had such a tame bird as this one. I was constantly having to back off and it would just keep coming in closer and closer. On many occasions it was within a couple of feet. A magical moment, I called Juanli over and the two of us sat on the mud as the tide came in as this little peep fed around us...

1Ds 500/4 +1.4 (it came off soon after!!) 1/1600 @f10 Evaluative -1/3 ISO 400. 580EX +BB -1 2/3 on flash and -1 on camera. Gitzo1325 + Wimberley. Full Frame.

Cheers all,

Alister

Alister,

Beautiful shot. I like the pose with the raised foot and the smooth water.
