Here's a male Luzon Hornbill (Penelopides manillae, a Philippine endemic, 21 inches total length) shot from a distance in excess of 300 feet, under overcast skies. I shot from atop a ridge with a downward trajectory, the bird having perched on a distant tree downslope.
This is my most detailed pic so far of this rare and shy bird found only in our islands. 350D + Sigmonster (Sigma 300-800 DG) + Sigma 2x TC, 1600 mm, ISO 400, f/18, 1/100 sec Regards, Romy Romy Ocon
