One of my earliest shots with my (then) new 500 F/4, with 2x converter.
I liked this one because it's a little different - I'm finding I prefer to have more environment in my bird photos rather than having the bird as the sole subject. It's a little soft - long lens technique still needs practice, especially with the 2x converter on there. I should probably have upped the iso a bit to give myself a faster shutter speed. 1D Mk II, 500 f/4L, 1/400s f/8.0 iso200 Richard Chapman
