Nice one John. I like the use of a short lens giving the clouds some definition. I wish the bird was in the upper right corner.

Great wing position and I love the sky. Placing the bird higher in the frame, and maybe a little right would work for me.

I, too like Chris's cropping suggestion. However this image is excellent as is. The detail that you got with the shorter lens really paid off with this one. The bird is fantastic.....but I think the addition of the clouds really set this one off. Excellent.
