Eared Grebe diving

Been trying to catch one of these birds diving, but still have the eye visible.

D2x, 600f/4 + 1.7TC, ISO 400, 1/1250 sec, f/10, Wimberley head

Well done timing this. I have tried with several species of Grebe, Duck, and even with Coots. Not easy to do this in my experience. 8)

I was trying the same thing a few weeks ago, not easy at all. Not just the timing either, but getting one to dive parallel to the film plane is no easy feat either.

An excellent image Bob, very well done.
