Supposed to have been eight hours sunshine today. I observed zero hours
sunshine so far.  :( This perch usually is one of the favorite perches of the Winter Wren, but not today.

Beautiful image Karl, despite the light. The quality is first rate.

I agree! - and I would gladly swap your weather today for the eight hours we have had of heavy rain Karl.  :)

Nice warm tones and eye contact. The snow got close to toast but I think has just enough detail.

Wonderful image, Karl. Certainly great results from your Nikon gear, but equipment is only as good as the person behind the camera, as we know! Looking forward to that sunny day as well !

Sweet Junco-lovely feather detail. Pretty coloring -they seem to vary a lot. Snow is maybe a bit bright? You are lucky to have snow at all. We have none-just rain. Pre-mud season in Vermont!

Great snowy setting for the Junco, Karl, and I like how well the BG colors complement the plumage.

Really a beautiful image, I find that the absence of the sun has diffused the light better and has allowed the reflection
of the white snow to illuminate and bring out the plumage of this beautiful subject in the best possible way.
The uniform background is so perfect.
