Despite the pouring rain I decided to drive through the loop road in Montezuma Wildlife Refuge in Seneca Falls NY. I managed to get this shot of an Eastern Kingbird showing its red crown! Frankly, I never knew this species had a red crown, so I checked and sure enough it is usually hidden but it's there! Please enlarge to see details.
