Turkey Vultures photographed at the Laguna Seca Ranch located in deep South Texas on 23 October 2021.  Turkey Vultures are typically not aggressive.  I guess this one has been watching some of his Hawk buddies.

1/4000 Sec
f/6.3
ISO 500

Large view looks nicer.

Woh! Great timing to create a really perfect composition. Very nice laying with spread wings.

+1. Maybe he is just tired of waiting his turn, lol. Perfect timing and terrific positioning.

I really like the poses of the duo, they work together nicely composition-wise. I also like seeing the detail of the wings and tail feathers of the landing bird. Very nice.

Great shot of the two- nice detail and light. Were they actually fighting? That would be a surprise!

Cynthia, I don't think they were actually fighting.  That is a favorite perch, so they will knock each other off the perch so they can be the King for a while.

Beautifully done, Gene! Its quite something to turn a picture of two vultures into a work of art. Great shot!
