Burrowing Owl

Nikon D810, Nikon 300mm F2.8
ISO400, 1/125s, F5.6, Table Top Tripod

This disheveled looking Burrowing Owl and I got caught in a quick moving Florida rain storm while I was laying on the ground photographing him.  When the rain stopped he was shaking it off and quickly turned to me as if to say....what are you still doing here.

A very clean owl shot! I just couldn’t resist! Probably not so clean for you, though. I wish they would return to our area, but I haven’t seen one in years. They are a favorite subject of mine. A vertical would work well, too.
