Nikon D850, Nikon 500mm F5.6 pf
ISO 400, 1/1250s, F5.6 This is a shot of the same individual male Cerulean Warbler as I posted yesterday. I was torn on which one to post so I decided to show both. Yesterdays image in the foliage was probably a tougher shot for the focus. This one was more lucky because I was only able to take two shots of him on this wide open branch at the edge of the woods at what appears to be eye level before he took off. He was actually about 15 feet high and I was standing on an embankment when the shot was taken. The background is mature deciduous tree trunks. Mature trees in a large tract of land is their preferred habitat. The lighting was still good in the early morning since it didn't need to contend with the leaves of the mature trees at their upper level creating shadows. Please click for higher resolution. |
