Nikon D810, Nikon 300mm F2.8
ISO 320, 1/2500s, F6.3, Blind, Tripod

This is a male American Bittern in breeding plumage.  It's cropped a bit just for composition as he was the closest I've ever been to this species at the time this image was taken.  I've always enjoyed photographing this species and have shown several here in previous postings.
