Sept. 18 2007!
Going through old photos- this was one of my favorites. This loon swam close to my kayak-it seemed totally unafraid  and so lovely to watch. I'll never forget that peaceful encounter.

Sounds like a wonderful encounter, Cindy. Moments like this make life worth living. A lovely image with good eye contact and detail. Love the falling water droplets. Excellent.

the perfect angle in which it was done and the droplets coming off the beck is a plus to this wonderful capture, keep up the kayaking CYNTHIA.

Where have you been hiding this one, Cindy! A really lovely close up capture of this drooling youngster, and so special to see it so relaxed and calm in your presence. Being in a boat is definitely the answer, its amazing how invisible and unthreatening humans become to wildlife when in a boat!
