Howary Throated Barwing

This guy is a sulker. They are hard to find and spot. This guy was spotted in the early hours amidst fog and mist, silently perched on this mossy branch. Clicking him under challenging light conditions among other environmental hindrance was really tough though.

Equipments used :

D500, 300 mm / 2.8, 1.4X Teleconverter

1 / 1200 s

f / 4

ISO 800 

At focal length 420 mm.

Biru, Beautiful bird and environment. Exposure looks right on. It looks like (guessing) the foliage on the left was behind some other growth. For me, this distracts slightly from the frame. I think you could clone the area on the left and use the background from the right side, (if you do that sort of thing) and it would make the BG seamless?

What an interesting an unusual bird- you get high marks for capturing this one, and I like the atmosphere and perch- it is a real life experience. Beautifully done!
