Young male Common Yellowthroat

I found this young male Common Yellowthroat in Dundas, Ontario a few days ago. He is getting close to getting his adult plumage.

BillyMacD, Like the perch running through the image. The bird has a nice stance and the detail and eye contact are excellent. A very nice image. Curious what your camera settings were?

Camera: Canon 5D mk4 w/ Canon EF500 Mk2 + 1.4TC on a Gitzo Tripod
ISO 250 at f5.6 & 1/250sec

Thanks.  If you look at how Canon handles noise reduction, you might find that ISO 400 is actually sharper than 250 (understanding that 400 might be slightly less dynamic range).  I don't remember Canon's noise reduction curve, but for Nikon it's definitely correct.  If you look through the photography discussion section you will find it.  Again, excellent photo.
