Taken yesterday on the Pacific Northwest coast at the beginning of the fall migration.  Beautiful day out there.  A little over an hour's drive from my home.

Iso-1000, 100-400 mm +1.4 extender at 560 mm, F8, 2000th, A7R3, handheld on my belly, 50% of full frame.  I wish that sandpiper on the right side had a little more the head turn towards me.

Well done to get the pair together. An option would be to crop off the bird on the right. A beautiful setting.

I do like the setting and the left bird looking back. Nice low angle too. Agree with your evaluation about the bird on the right. Two in the frame is always a challenge.

Super flow angle and framing. Like the eye contact from the left hand bird.
