Canon 80D, Canon 18-135 lens.
f/7.1, 1/250, ISO 800 This bird sometimes roosts in my garden, much to the annoyance of my dogs, who don't like it very much. I don't think that the open mouth is a show of aggression or irritation, as the bird is quite relaxed and allows one to get fairly close to it. It seemed to be simply a yawn, which I was lucky enough to capture. It only did it once and shortly after I took this photograph it closed its eyes and went to sleep. |
