Mulga Parrot

Amazingly this female Mulga Parrots, looks pretty dull and grey/green when perched, but from up top in flight, all her amazing colours become visible.
I'm not often doing flight shots, but at this place, with dozens of parrots coming in, I gave it a go.
Getting enough shutter speed for the static camera was kinda the biggest challenge. Anything under 1/4000 still blurred the wings. This was one of the few keepers.

Excellent pose with full wing stretch and a slight head turn and the colors are truly amazing, Jan. Superb shot.
