Here is another shot from the same Twilight evening. Barn Owls are my favorite. They have unique face , shape of hearth like no other owls.
D4, 200-500mm f/5.6
1/15, ISO-16,000, f/5.6, VR-ON, handheld.

This is so out of the box for the digital generation of removing all shadows, even lighting etc, that I just have to love this in a huge way.  

The tones, colour and mood are in a different dimension.
