ON A COLD, WINDY DAY, WHEN TO ONE OF THE PONDS TO CHECK ON THE HOODED MERGANSER AND I WAS HAPPY TO SEE THAT THE WATER WAS NOT TOTAL FROZEN EVERY WERE, THERE WERE TWO FEMALE HOODED AND TWO COMMON MERGANSER LEFT IN THIS POND.

Peter, very nice detail. Love the swirl in the water below the bill and the water droplet coming off of the bill — implies action and tells a story. Nice work!

This is lovely when clicked on to see the full detail, Peter - beautiful eye! She is set off beautifully by the soft blue water and the water drip from the bill is a nice extra! Great view of this sweet girl.
