The pretty warm lighting, and the earth tones throughout the image, both contribute to the success of this image, David. I love how the background complements the handsome Flicker. Well done!

This is gorgeous!
Love, love the light and the killer perch with the nice lines and textures.
You have a great complimentary BG as well.
This bird is a nemesis bird for me. We have all kinds of them around our cottage but I have yet to get a nice image of them.
My jealousy bone is throbbing!!
I could see a version with a bit more pop to the bird. I would add 2 points of black to the neutrals (bird only) in photoshop under selective color
