So, we had a tornado touch down late yesterday in parts of Ottawa. Power went out briefly where I live but others were not so fortunate.
Particularly in an area called Dunrobin out in the west end. The tornado touched down for about 8 seconds at that location but long enough to take out a small strip mall, one that I visit from time to time, stopping in for some food after photographing in the area. Later in the evening I went to check on the snowy owl I had been watching since early August. Despite lightning flashing in the distance, there he was perched high up drying itself for a night of activity. I left it after seeing it was OK but went back today. Canon 500 f4 III and 1.4x. Gitzo. Thanks for looking. Last edited by OntPhoto on Tue Sep 25, 2018 7:56 am, edited 1 time in total. |
