I have followed a pair of White-throated Kingfishers through their breeding cycle. One thing I like to see is how they greet each other either over a long distance or up close with a quick, open-wing flash. The white patch on their wings can be seen over a distance.
The male and the female are very similar. They both have mud on the bills through excavating a nest in a muddy bank Penang, Malaysia Canon EOS1DX, 500mm plus 1.4 extender, f8, 1/3200, ISO 1250 bean bag on car window Last edited by Graeme Guy on Mon Aug 06, 2018 10:18 am, edited 1 time in total. |
