Finding an American Kestrel nest is a really rare treat. One of 2 young kestrels (male and female). The young male has a lot of blue on its wings.
In the spring many people tend to crowd around a nest and this can lead the parent birds to abandon the nest and/or find another location the next year. Here the kestrels are about to fledge so no worries but still try to keep disturbance to a low level. Canon 7D MK2, 500 f4 + 1.4x, tripod. Thanks for looking. |
