I was able to get to the river again and got some nice shots of Bald Eagles.

Love the talons as this eagle is going in for the kill, well worth clicking on this image.

Regards,

Amazing action shot, Ludo. I like the way part of the body is lit and the talons ready to hit.
Was it a Duck in the water?

Fantastic dappled lighting, Ludo! And killer action frame with talons extended.

Thank you all for the  kind comments.

These eagles arrive here every winter to feed on Salmon. There are hundreds of eagles stretched alongside of the river for miles.
It is a  treat to watch these birds from fairly close distance. Season is fairly short, soon as fish is all gone, so are eagles.

Karl, the eagle was landing to grab a piece of Salmon. Lot of these salmon are still alive, some fairly large.

Fantastic shot! I like it a lot. Especially the extended talons and the surrounding. Nicely done.
