Another keeper from your 200-500, Hugh!
Just for my interest, how good is the tele zoom for BIF work?
Any manual assist or pre-focus required? I'm trying to compare it with say a 500/4 ...

Tack sharp with a very nice background, the 200-500 looks very impressive Hugh.

Rob

As E.J. indicated, there are not many BIF shots posted of this species. Last time David Salem posted one from California.
Great find and nice shot.

Hi KK,
Sorry to get back to you so late. I will post a long answer in the photography equipment thread that you started. Short answer, I'm very pleased with this lens and the D500. Thanks for commenting. No manual assist or pre-focus required.

Thanks for your positive note, Hugh!
I really have to try the 200-500 for BIF myself one day ...
