Recent shot of this Great-horned owl. I am not sure now anymore if this is the fledgling or the mommy. The larger of the two young owls
is almost indistinguishable from adult. I tracked this one deep in the woods and found a crack between branches where I could get clear shot. Mosquitoes were everywhere. Even tough I was covered well with bug repellent those blood suckers wanted to get piece of me. 1D4, TOKINA 300mm f/2.8 AT-X PRO 1/200, ISO-500, f/4 handheld, slightly cropped.
