I have been enjoying your caracara images Gene. While in Florida I chased these birds awhile before finally getting some great photo opportunities. Once I get caught up on processing I will post some. I found that watching for them along the road paid off because they are attracted by roadkill. Really great looking birds and in a class by themselves.

Bob, I think you could speed up your process by collecting road kill and placing it in an area with a good background.  They are fairly tolerant of people as long as you stay in one place.  Photographing from a vehicle should be fairly easy.  If you want to get fancy, put a nice looking perch next to the roadkill and they are almost guaranteed to land on it.
Gene.

Gene, very sweet flyby capture, love the color harmony between your subject and the warm, gentle BG - very well done.
