Alan Murphy and I are in the middle of doing our annual Galveston, Texas songbird workshops right now.  We often have some time to do other things with our groups including shorebirds.  A few days ago we had a lovely group of American Avocets to work with and many of us concentrated on these wing stretch poses.
Canon 1DX, 600mm AFS II and lovely afternoon light.

Lovely pose and wing stretch, nice overall details and the bird looks exquisite in the sweet light.
