I shot this the other day and am liking it more each time I look at it. It's not often I am happy with my warbler shots that show habitat but for some reason this one works for me. These guys are amung the first wave of warblers we've had and I'm looking forward to more!

Love the angle since in shows that nice colorful crown. I have these birds all over Sanibel. Some stay the entire year.

It also works for me, must be the way the BG slowly and gently fades into a wonderful even blur, not having the technical details available on the image makes me think that the f/stop was sort of wide, limiting the DOF, also the even complimentary tones on the OOF BG makes it ever so pleasant to the eye, the perfect exposure, wonderful light and perfect fill just puts the icing on the cake!! Congrats!! 8)

Great pose, colors, and BG. My only nit might be the dark branch in the foreground that draws my eye from the bird, but that's very minor.

Very appealing tones and a neat eye-catch; I think this is a beautiful example of how fill flash can bring out the color.

My first thought on seeing this is how much it reminds me of Robert Bateman's style of painting. I like it a lot.

Stunning image, Jim! I like it alot. Particularly the pose and the red head. I took a very similar shot a couple of days ago, but I like yours better.
