Shot this last summer on Fort Myers Beach at Sunset.

Handheld; Canon Elan7e w/28-105; Royal Gold 400; exposure unrecorded.

I used photoshop CS to enhance the colors and crop.

Excellent silhouette with nice glden color. The smallest nit (and not even really a nit) is that I'd move the birds just a wee bit more if possible to bisect the lower third nearby powerpoint.

Beautiful sunset silhouette!! Both birds look reasonably sharp to me. I would like to see the birds a little lower in the frame and from a lower perspective but that is my personal preference and not a nit.

I really want to move to Florida. :D

Awesome colors! The waves give the image more depth.

Great image with lots of impact. Very sweet light.

I concur with placing the birds in the lower right of the frame.

You've really captured the "Florida end of a sunny day and things are really laid back" feel in this. Elegant simplicity.

Some folks know this feeling as "vacation", but we know it even better, eh? :)

Hi Pete,

As usual I'll go against the grain here and say that I prefer the birds closer to the UPPER right power point. This allows the birds to follow the parallel diaganol lines (formed by the waves) into the frame.

Great Job!

Thanks for the comments. This one has driven me nuts on the cropping. I've cropped it every which ways. This version is a 4x6 crop.

I haven't decided yet...

Noel, I agree with you ... while I live on the east coast of FL, there is nothing like the southwest coast and waiting for the sunset at low tide...
